Writer’s block

It’s Friday, it’s around 8 am, and I’m sitting in the coffee shop as I normally am at this time. Friday is my day to write a blog article for the website, if you’re reading this, then this made it to that blog.

Normally, I have a subject I’ve already thought about as I stood in the queue that will form the blog article for that day.

However, I’m having what I’ve heard is called “writer’s block”.

I can’t think of what to write about this week. This is probably because I’ve had a busy week of work, and a busy week at home as well, and my mind is all over the place.

So here goes with writing an article, about not being able to write an article.

I think I’ll just keep writing and see where we go…

Yesterday I worked remotely, out of my tech backpack (YouTube video will be coming about the contents of it), as my car was in for a service. I wandered around Worcester from coffee shop to coffee shop. You really only do need a laptop and an Internet connection to get things done in this day and age. I think the change of scenario helped in one way, but at the same time, after about the third coffee shop visit, the novelty of it was wearing off. Still, you could literally be anywhere, throw a phone of some description into the mix and you’re up and running – this is definitely how it should be.

Today I’m finishing off the week doing some work from the office and some work from home, working on a few projects and quotes and putting more plans and processes in place for when I’m away in a week or so.

Each time I know I’m going to be away, I look to add that one extra thing to things that the team can do in my absence, to ensure the smooth operation of the business and hopefully make it a non-event that I’m away. Essentially I’m playing the game of trying to fire myself, which is the goal.

So somehow, even though my mind was empty with ideas to write about, and I stared at a blank document for ten minutes before I got started on this, I’ve still managed to produce a short article, which helps our website, and helps with engagement on our social media channels.

I’m not sure about the strength of this article, to be honest, but I do know that some content, is way better than no content.
