Dell Vostro 3515 Laptop | Mini Review

The Dell Vostro 3515, sporting a Ryzen 5 Processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD Hard Drive, will tick many boxes for business users.

Whilst it’s not flashy, or cool, it is highly functional. While I’m not a fan of 15” laptop screens, many people are, and this laptop also ticks that box.

As ever from Dell, the build quality is good, with the laptop feeling sturdy and solid – even though this laptop is cheap (in the grand scheme of things).

The keyboard typing experience is pleasant, which is an essential factor if you’re planning on spending many hours every work day punching away at the keys. The feedback from the keys feels solid, with what feels like just the right amount of travel in the keys.

The overall spec of the laptop will deliver most things quickly, for the large majority of people out there. No, this isn’t a gaming or CAD laptop, but then it’s not meant to be. This is intended to be something which just works, with no fuss or hassle, which is what this laptop delivers.

This is one of those laptops, where you can simple let people get on with things and not really worry about it. For most, I’d expect this to deliver a good number of years of business use.

Out of the box, the laptop comes with Windows 10 Pro installed, but you jump straight onto Windows 11 Pro during the installation and setup process. We recommend you do this to future-proof yourself, and given the upgrade is free, there’s no reason not to really.

With the laptop coming in at around £500 (at the time of writing), you won’t get much better value in terms of a proven brand and spec. Yes, there are cheaper laptops, but they likely won’t be the same/comparable spec or won’t have Windows Pro, which is a requirement for many businesses.

So whilst this laptop doesn’t blow me away, I’d have no problem recommending it and supplying, safe in the knowledge, that it won’t let anyone down.
